The 360° VR Experience
Right after disaster strikes, the Red Cross will send out Google Cardboard Headsets. Users will be virtually transported to the middle of the disaster zone — in this case, Nepal.
They can see how much money has been raised, in real time. They will also be prompted to give a donation. They can wander around the scene and see what the rubble used to be and select to donate to the restoration of a particular area.
New 360 degree video footage will be uploaded so that users can see the progress being made over time and the direct impact they have on that progress.
In order to reach a greater number of people, the experience can also function without the Google headset so that everyone can participate.
